A historic Inverness landmark, established 1890 — one of Citrus County’s oldest hotels, now a 25,004 sq ft assisted living facility.
A short look inside Crown Court — the historic 1890s landmark, now home.
The building has its own story to tell, longer than ours. Every chapter, every owner, every photograph — collected at historiccrowncourt.com →
Vera Mobile Dental rolls out for the first time. The first stop is Crown Court. The first patient — the very first one — is a Crown Court resident. We didn’t know it then, but we’d be back.
We took on management of Crown Court. The senior at the center — that was the only standard. We diversified the provider team, organized a provider fair so residents choose their own doctors, and put compliance and genuine care at the front.
Working with then-owner Erica’s Equities.
The property changed hands — VSEVA Crown Court LLC became the new owner. Every resident stayed. Continuity of care held through the transition. Under a new management agreement, we continued as operator and innovation partner — with a promise to bring the past into the future.
We turned the old pub downstairs into The Fox & Hounds Tavern — a resident-exclusive gathering room with commissioned artwork honoring the building’s rich history. Crystal chandeliers. Art-deco mural. Period costume nights. Built for evenings worth remembering.
The grand staircase still stands. The walls still hold generations of Inverness memories. The vision is unchanged — preserving the past while embracing the future. The senior, always, at the center.
The historic building has its own dignity. We make sure every resident has theirs too — their preferences, their pace, their room their way.
Medicaid HCBS waiver and private pay both supported. We help families understand which costs fall where — the room and board, the clinical services, the personal items — so there are no surprises about who pays for what.
Downtown Inverness, walkable, historic. Crown Court is for the senior who wants the rhythm of a town — not the quiet of the country.
Three layers, side by side. The room you live in, the care we provide, and the allowances that make the system bend to fit you. Crown Court is managed by Vera Healthcare Florida LLC. Erica's Equities, Inc is the building’s owner-licensee, so some commitments below are Vera-direct and some Vera coordinates with the license-holder.
What Vera operates inside the home — the six pillars under the Vera mark. Same chain standard as every Vera-touched community.
Private and semi-private rooms inside a historic building. Each room kept the way the resident wants it — their photos, their bedding, their bedside book. Hospital-grade beds, residential aesthetic.
Three meals plus snacks, prepared in-house. Diets accommodated (low-sodium, diabetic, soft, gluten-free). The chef knows each resident’s preferences — including the gluten allergy that didn’t fit in a checkbox.
Medication assistance and administration, on schedule, every dose logged. Pharmacy coordination so refills don’t lapse. The MAR is audit-ready and the family knows what was given, when, by whom.
Personal care — bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting — delivered with the dignity the resident deserves. Vital monitoring, on-call medical coordination. Health changes caught early and communicated to family the same day.
The Fox & Hounds Tavern (resident sports bar). Movie room. Game room. 3 fireplaces. A concrete swimming pool. Crystal chandeliers and period details. Walking distance to downtown Inverness shops and Cooter Pond. Loneliness treated as a clinical issue.
We assist with rides to medical appointments, family visits, and downtown errands — or you can just walk to them, since we’re downtown. Coordinated around the resident’s day.
No hidden fees. Pick the floor, pick the room, pick the care level — the price moves accordingly. AL services priced by care level.
Crystal chandeliers, patterned wallpaper, original architecture — preserved. Beds, recliners, televisions, climate control — updated. And downstairs: the Fox & Hounds Tavern, a resident sports bar with its own art-deco mural and a Florida Crown Hotel mural commemorating the building’s 1907 chapter.
Residents choose their own provider. We offer options, not assignments. Same provider team as Pleasant Grove.
